      “I fractured my patella into 11 small pieces. The orthopaedic surgeon reconstructed my kneecap to 60% of the original size with only a few viable bone fragments. The long term prognosis was grave with very limited usage of the knee joint and a lifetime of discomfort. Under the attentive care of Birgitta, my short term recovery was remarkable. At week 12, a visit to the surgeon provided outstanding news. The bone regeneration was progressing rapidly, 4 weeks ahead of his expectations.  The knee cap was 70% its original size!  Physiotherapy began at week 16.
